Checkpoint shortlisted at Scottish National Book Awards!

Nice news! Joe Donnelly’s amazing book, exploring the intersection of mental health and video games, has been shortlisted for Non-Fiction Book of the Year at the Scottish National Book Awards!

Joe’s book is such an important and significant work for diving into the often misunderstood world of video games to explore what the form can offer in our darkest times, and why people choose to escape to virtual worlds time and again.

"Writing and video games are two of my biggest passions, and I wrote Checkpoint as a means of sharing my mental health story as it relates to gaming and, hopefully, striking a chord with others who might be struggling in similar situations,” says Joe. “For Checkpoint to be recognised here is truly wonderful, and I hope its message can continue reaching those who need it most."

Treat yourself to Checkpoint below - the new edition is out later this month!
