A trio of shortlistings at Scotland's National Book Awards!
This year is really ending on a high; we feel very fortunate to be back with even more awards news. We announced a few weeks ago that Andrés N. Ordorica’s exceptional debut collection is shortlisted for the Poetry Book of the Year. Today, we’re excited to share two more award nominations!
404 Ink is shortlisted - for the sixth year in a row - for Publisher of the Year. On the shortlisting, the judges said, “404 Ink are brave and honest publishers, working to ensure underrepresented writers and works are published. 404 Ink continue to grow from strength to strength.”
We’re also excited that, for the second time, one of our books is shortlisted for Cover of the Year. Maud Rowell’s Blind Spot: Exploring and Educating on Blindness is one of the trio on the shortlist - congrats to the inimitable Luke Bird who continues to make us look good through his fantastic cover designs in Inklings, and to Maud for writing such an exceptional book.
The awards will take place on 8 December and we have our fingers crossed for everyone Team 404!
